The PDA supports Purdy’s latest campaign

8 July 2021

The Painting and Decorating Association’s (PDA) CEO Neil Ogilvie and a number of PDA Members have taken part in the Purdy ‘Inspiring the Next Generation’ campaign that looks to champion the professional decorator and inspire the next generation to take up a role in the industry.

The ‘Inspiring the Next Generation’ campaign is looking to offer advice and impart knowledge to the next generation by speaking with those in the trade, apprentices and our very own Neil Ogilvie to find out what it really means to be a professional decorator.

The video series delves into the career journeys of each PDA Member and their views on what it takes to be a professional painter and decorator and the importance of using quality brushes and rollers. Purdy has also spoken with apprentices to find out what inspired them to take up professional decorating, what their training has taught them and the advice they would give to anyone considering joining the trade.

The PDA Members involved include Tam Weir, Desmond Cass, Anthony Wade, Anthony Kelly and Jane Potter, Lewis Boyle and Abi Johnson from Bagnalls Painting Contractors. To see the videos, keep an eye out on the Purdy and PDA’s social media channels.
