The PDA has been working on behalf of our Members with our colleagues at Site Assessment & Training Services (SATS) Ltd to develop a NEW Training Standard for Painters & Decorators which has been approved by the CITB.
The new 6-hour training course can now be offered to Managers, Supervisors & Operatives to update their knowledge on many Health & Safety related topics to a Standard which will be recognised by major Clients. This means that Painters & Decorators can access the training specifically for them rather than the more generic CITB Health & Safety course.
A very important benefit is that a CITB Training Grant of Ā£70 per person will be available to CITB Registered Employers (subject to Eligibility to claim grants). Where eligible, grants should be paid automatically once each Training Provider submits training details to CITB.
The course content is based on a range of topics taken from the new PDA āProgressive Web Appā, formerly the H&S Handbook. The Standard is made up of 4 core subjects with a minimum of 4 others chosen to suit Employerās delegates as shown below:
