Construction Workshop - Speaker update

The workshop will take a practical look at pre-construction issues, specifically environmental and regulatory advice for people planning to start construction works.

Peter Hepton,

Ground Investigation Engineering Manager, Socotec.

Peter will discuss the need for effective ground investigation; design, planning and procurement of GI services; types of investigative methods in the field; laboratory testing and reporting. He will include both geotechnical and geoenvironmental aspects.




Matt Pickett,

Joint Managing Director, Safeline Environmental Limited.

Matt will talk on the importance of "competent" asbestos surveys and asbestos removal.

Matt has been in the asbestos industry for over 15 years and has worked across all aspects including, bulk sample analysis, project management, air testing and 4-stage clearances.





Tess Jenkins,

Associate Director Ecologist, Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions.

Tess will talk on 'Biodiversity Gains' on development sites.
