PPG Architectural Coatings is calling for its customers to take a swing at its annual golf extravaganza, PPG Golf Masters.

The hugely popular competition, which is now in its ninth year, has 700 places open to PPG account holders and entries are now being accepted.

The competition’s regional heats take place at some of the country’s finest golf courses, beginning on June 21st at Bruntsfield Links in Edinburgh, and conclude when the final 52 players meet at on July 22nd at Sonning in Reading.

PPG will also be running a “Star Ball Challenge” at every regional heat, where all money raised will go to PPG’s charity partner, When You Wish Upon A Star.

Winners from each of the 12 heats will travel to the prestigious Ryder Cup venue at Valderrama in Spain for the final, along with 2015 champion, Steve McLaren.

The finalists will enjoy a taste of the professional golfing lifestyle, with PPG treating all contenders to an all expenses paid trip, five star accommodation and luxurious playing conditions.

The 2015 edition culminated in a tense final, which saw McLaren fend off stiff competition to claim the title by a single point.

Sarah Clough, loyalty and events manager at PPG said: “We are always blown away by the standard at the PPG Golf Masters tournament, and we’re excited to see what this year’s entrants can deliver. The competition is a great way to bring us closer to our customers, whilst raising money for our charity partner When You Wish Upon A Star.”

The competition is an invitation only event, but PPG account holders can go to www.ppggolfmasters.co.uk to register their interest, or speak to a PPG representative or a member of staff at a Johnstone’s Decorating Centre.
