I have been leading one of the largest UK trade associations, Est 1894, since 2009. I am the PDA representative at BUILD UK and a UK board representative of UNIEP (International Association of Painting Contractors). I have close working relationships with various departments within the Government and Cabinet Office, which helps me raise the profile of our sector in the UK and Europe. I have also been working with other organisations on a joint approach to sustainability/environmental issues surrounding the NetZero 50 challenge. I value the inter-professional networking I part-take in with other Trade Associations/Federations. I have many collaborative partnerships with over 50 Associate Partners, this includes maintaining relationships with many high-profile manufacturers in our sector.

On a day to day basis, I manage a team of five at PDA HQ, which includes, resources and financial management, strategic planning and communication and marketing. I also have a hand in enhancing Member benefits and services and event management, this includes, working alongside Colleges and providing training to promote and encourage Apprentice growth.

I have been with the PDA for nine years.  I am responsible for organising and managing the PDA events such as Trophy Awards & Apprentice Trainee Competition, Apprentice Paperhanger Competition, Activity Day and the National Networking Event.  I work closely with our Marketing Team to promote the competitions and our Associate Partners who sponsor the events.

I have been with the PDA for six years now and carry out various aspects of Administration, including general enquiries from the public and PDA Members, adding new Members to our systems and supplying Members with login details to our website.

I also do a lot of work on our website, helping out with technical support. I work closely with the marketing departments of our Associate Partners, adding adverts to our website and building landing pages.
