Supporting T Level students and hosting a 45 day industry placement

22 July 2021

We are reaching out to you, for your support to help make T Level industry placements happen. Creating these valuable opportunities for young people is a priority championed by Minister Keegan and the Department for Education.

You have been identified as a potential employer to support students on the new T Level qualification, that launched in September 2020. Due to the pandemic, many of these students have been unable to secure the meaningful industry placement required to complete their course and achieve their T Level qualification in June 2022.

Local training providers have students that may fall within your local travel to work area and we would like to invite you to a workshop, hosted by our delivery partner SDN (Strategic Delivery Network), for you to find out more about hosting industry placement students.

If you are not able to host industry placements at the moment, please do consider hosting an industry placement for future students, as more students and courses come on board from September 2021, and beyond. T Level students could be the workforce of your future and could progress onto a higher apprenticeship on completion of their T Level.

There is now also a financial incentive of £1000 per student that employers can claim for hosting the 45 day industry placement https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/employer-incentive-payments-for-employers-offering-a-t-level-industry-placement

Please do join our workshops to find out more and play an important part in supporting our future workforce.  Register your place using the link below:
