Get involved with the new Go Construct employer toolkits

This month we’re excited to unveil a resource that has been created to improve awareness and understanding of Go Construct. Through a series of employer toolkits, we hope to make it easier to engage with and collaborate on Go Construct content. You’ll be able to explore the many ways to get involved and see just how easy it is to help promote the varied career options available in construction.

Over the next few months, we’ll be shining a spotlight on the six toolkits available to access via the CITB website, including; social media, blogs, photography, video, audio, and events.

Social media

  • The easiest way to engage with Go Construct is via social media
  • The toolkit provides helpful tips on the best ways to connect with the platform and share your stories online, including sample tweets
  • Downloadable resources, including a social media guide and assets.

  • UK adults spend four hours online, on average, a day
  • You can write content for the Go Construct website, provide a quote or case study, or share your own blogs with us to promote
  • The toolkit provides a guide on how to structure and write engaging content for Go Construct.

October highlights

For awareness: This October marks Black History Month 2021, an annual campaign to tackle racism and ensure black history is represented and celebrated all year round. This year, Black History Month UK has also launched ‘Proud To Be’, promoting the incredible richness and diversity of black and brown heritage in the UK. Get involved and support the campaign across social media using the hashtags #BlackHistoryMonth and #BHM.

The industry benefits hugely from a diverse range of talent and it will be particularly important in the coming years to continue attracting people from a range of backgrounds with varying skills and strengths. You can read more about construction and ethnicity here.

Get out and about: National Graduate Week is the perfect opportunity for graduates and soon-to-be graduates to gain insider information from top employers, and it returns this year from 18 – 22 October.

Starting university can be hard but graduating can often feel just as daunting. You’ve done the hard work; you’ve passed all your exams but what do you do next? If you know someone feeling this way, they might find the below resources helpful in getting them back on track.
