The Building Safety Bill and Health & Safety investigations
We are delighted to invite you to our Construction Lawbytes seminar taking place on Thursday 31st March 2022 at our offices.
We will be running the session in collaboration with SOCOTEC Building Control, the market-leading independent provider of building control and the recognised authority on all matters regarding Building Regulations.
Owen Edwards, Technical and Training Director at Socotec Building Control will provide an overview of the Building Safety Bill. The Building Safety Bill is the framework legislation that the Government hopes will drive a change in culture within the construction industry following the Grenfell Tower fire and put building safety at the forefront of construction.
James Lowe, Wright Hassall’s Regulatory Partner will provide an overview of health and safety investigations by the Health and Safety Executive through a case study. This presentation will focus on: the incident; HSE’s initial inquiries; Notices of Contravention and Fee For Intervention; enforcement notices and the importance of legally privileged accident investigations.
