We are Associate Partners of the Painting & Decorating Association and members of Build UK, North West Construction Safety Group, Utility Strike Avoidance Group and Water Jetting Association. We also hold NEBOSH Gold Learning Partner Status, giving us the ability to provide the best quality training.
Our trainers deliver courses at 3B Training venues, at our customers address or site and online via Zoom. We also offer a host of eLearning courses and a variety of NVQs such as:
- Level 2 – 5 Construction Trade & Plant NVQs
- Level 3 – 7 Construction Supervisory & Management NVQs
- Level 3 – 6 Health & Safety NVQs
We have NVQs that are perfect for those working within the painting and decorating industry.
Level 2 Painting & Decorating
Our Level 2 Painting & Decorating NVQ is £950+VAT and is a nationally recognised qualification which allows the learner to gain the CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card on completion. Having this card shows the learners competence within their job role.
Level 3 Painting & Decorating
Our Level 3 Painting & Decorating NVQ costs £1000+VAT. Completing this nationally recognised qualification will allow the learner to gain the Gold Advanced Craft Card which shows they are a highly skilled worker in the industry.
There are a variety of mandatory units you must show evidence in to complete this NVQ. As well as optional units to choose from such as:
- Applying coatings by the airless spray method in the workplace
- Producing and applying complex stencils in the workplace
- Hanging wallcoverings to complex surfaces in the workplace
- Hanging wallcoverings (specialised paper) in the workplace
Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision
Our Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision NVQ is £1150+VAT and is a nationally recognised qualification that allows the learner to obtain the Gold CSCS Supervisory Card on completion. If your role includes supervising a group of painters and decorators, then this is the perfect NVQ for them.
Assessing the learner’s competency for all of these NVQs is done through a variety of methods. For example, gathering evidence from the workplace, witness testimonials, observations, professional discussions, and written questions.
Funding for NVQs
Companies that are CITB registered can claim £600 for each successful learner that completes these NVQs; they will just need to make the claim themselves retrospectively.
Companies can also use funding from the CITB Skills & Training Fund for these NVQs.
We recently supported 8Build in applying for the CITB Skills & Training Fund. With our help and guidance, they successfully secured funding for 18 Level 6 NVQs!

- Pay four equal payments over the first four months
- Pay 50% when booking, pay 50% upon completion
