To celebrate the very best that the industry has to offer, Armstead is sponsoring the Painter and Decorator category at this year’s On The Tools Awards.
Following a two-year delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the On The Tools Awards are back for 2022. The awards look to celebrate the hard work of tradespeople across the construction industry and recognise those that have shown true dedication to their trade.
Leading paint brand Armstead is a proud sponsor of this year’s Painter and Decorator category. The industry has faced numerous challenges over the last couple of years, with painters and decorators forced to quickly adapt to new ways of working in line with government restrictions and handle unprecedented demand for their services as premises re-opened and homeowners looked to renovate. In fact, according to the 2022 Rated People Home Improvement Trends Report a staggering 83% of painters and decorators say that they experienced increased homeowner demand in 2021.
The Painter and Decorator award looks to celebrate exceptional quality and evidence of truly transforming a space; the winning candidate will only settle for the best and take pride in every stroke of their brush. Tradespeople can nominate themselves or other tradespeople for this prestigious award – and the winner will be announced on Friday 18th November at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.
Alka Dass, Senior Brand Manager for Armstead said: “The Covid-19 pandemic hit our industry hard, with many forced to down tools in early 2020 and quickly bounce back to meet increased demand. The hard work and dedication that our trade has shown over the last two years is something that we are passionate about celebrating – which is why we are proudly sponsoring the Painter and Decorator category in the On The Tools Awards 2022.”
Vickie Mather, Dulux Academy Lead at AkzoNobel, was selected by On The Tools to sit on the judging panel for this year’s awards – judging the ‘Painter & Decorator of the Year’ category. The Dulux Academy is the home of painting and decorating excellence, with a nationwide presence. Vickie and the Dulux Academy team are dedicated to developing the skills, knowledge and confidence of decorators at every stage of their career. Vickie will also be lending her voice to other categories at the awards, celebrating the incredible work and professionalism of UK tradespeople.
Nominations for the On The Tools Awards are now open and will close on 30th September. For more information and to nominate yourself or other tradespeople visit: https://www.onthetools.tv/awards/
