London schools are being given the chance to win a makeover jackpot to help breathe fresh life into their facilities.
Leading decorating and DIY specialist Leyland SDM has heralded the start of the new academic year by launching its new Big School Makeover campaign.
Primary and secondary schools from across the capital can stake their claim for the prize, with one lucky winner scooping £5,000 worth of paint and DIY products to make a real difference to their building.
Two other London schools will win £2,500 each to spend at Leyland SDM as runners-up.

“The Big School Makeover prize fund will give one school the opportunity to make long-lasting, significant improvements for the benefit of pupils and staff, without affecting budgets.

Any school in London can enter the competition simply by visiting www.leylandsdm.co.uk/bigschoolmakeover and submitting 100 words explaining how the funding would help.
Entries are open from now until midnight on October 20. A judging team at Leyland SDM will create a 10-school shortlist before a public vote is held to decide the winner.
The winning school will be able to select any products from Leyland SDM’s extensive range, including paint from leading brands, tools, timber and plumbing parts.

“We will assist the winning school to get the right materials they need to make the maximum impact.
“We’re very excited to forge a new partnership with a school and make a real impact on the local community.”
