Brewers, a PDA Associate Partner, were thrilled to be able to support award winning Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft (DMAC) by donating the decorating materials required to complete vital redecoration work.

The DMAC was founded in 1985 and re-opened in 2013 after a complete transformation. The museum presents the story of the artists and craftspeople based in and around Ditchling since 1900 and celebrates contemporary artists and makers continuing their legacy.

The DMAC also has a learning and outreach programme, connecting with people of all ages in the rural surroundings as well as local towns and villages. Their social mission is to make the museum and its programme available to all regardless of means, so they run several schemes, including Museum Key which offers free access, refreshments and transport, distributed through food banks and social prescribing.

The DMAC receive around 13,000 visitors a year and work with around 3,500 people through the programme, making the museum an important part of the local community. After some renovation work, decorating materials were required to protect the newly refurbished doors, weather boards and windows as well as redecorating a brand-new exhibition space. You can find out what’s on at the museum here.
