Two new appointments have been made to the Management Board of the Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) for 2024/25.
Joanne Gualda and Charlie Wileen join the PDA’s Management Board, which works with the staff team, headed by Chief Executive Neil Ogilvie, to ensure the Association undertakes work that is beneficial to its members.
Joanne Gualda of Alfred Bagnall and Sons Ltd and Charlie Wileen of Johns of Nottingham Ltd joined Philip Jones from Ian Williams Ltd as Category 5 & 6 representatives.
Joanne Gualda said: “I have a passion for our industry and fully support the excellent work undertaken by the PDA.”
Charlie Wileen added: “Working at various levels within the same company, from Apprentice to Director, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and developed many different management skills.”
Desmond Cass of D Cass & Son was re-selected to the Board for a further three years, joining Stuart Yates, Windsor Powell, Samantha Costa, Scott Oliver and Simon Martin as a Category 1-4 representative.
Desmond said: “I feel I have a lot to contribute towards the future of the Association. My family have been Members for nearly 50 years. During that time, we have been loyal staunch supporters of the Association, which I hope will continue well into the future.”
Stuart Yates was re-elected as Chair of the Board for the coming year.
PDA Chief Executive Neil Ogilvie said: “I am delighted to welcome Joanne Gualda and Charlie Wileen to the PDA Management Board and look forward to working with them.
“The PDA enjoyed a successful 130th anniversary year in 2024 and work is already underway to build on those achievements in 2025.”
