Thank you for your continued support of MP Amanda Martin’s Stop Tool Theft campaign.
Amanda and her team recently shared a quick update:
The second reading of the Bill, originally scheduled for 25 April, did not take place due to lack of parliamentary time. While this is disappointing, there is still a chance it could receive its second reading before the end of the parliamentary year in July.
In the meantime, Amanda took the opportunity to directly raise the issue with the Prime Minister during Prime Minister’s Questions. You can watch the exchange here:

Amanda continues to engage with Ministers and Special Advisers at the Ministry of Justice, and we have an exciting ministerial meeting coming up to push the case for action. The campaign is very much ongoing.
We remain committed to driving this vital legislation forward to protect tradespeople from the devastating impact of tool theft, and your support is helping keep the pressure on Parliament to act. Please continue to share the campaign and raise awareness as every voice counts!
