Expert insight into public procurement at PDA webinar

The Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) is teaming up with Eastern Procurement to provide expert insight into the Procurement Act 2023 as part of its Power Up Your Business webinar series.

Leigh-Anne Franklin, Procurement and Business Assurance Manager at Eastern Procurement will lead the webinar, available exclusively to PDA members, on Thursday 15th January.

Woking with housing associations and local authorities across the East of England, developing frameworks and solutions that ensure compliance, value for money, and strong governance, Leigh-Anne leads on strategic procurement, governance, and financial assurance.

She said: “We are happy to support the PDA in helping members build their understanding of public procurement and how to access public sector contract opportunities.

“The aim of the session is to give practical insight into public tenders, take some of the mystery out of the public procurement process, and help businesses recognise suitable opportunities, where to find them, and what steps to take next.”

The webinar is one of a series of online learning opportunities for PDA members as part of the Association’s Power Up Your Business package of support, which includes projects around Careers in Colour and further development of PDA’s landmark Paint Green scheme.

Neil Ogilvie, PDA Chief Executive, said: “The Procurement Act 2023 is designed to open up opportunities to a broader range of businesses, and many PDA members are in an excellent position to take advantage of new opportunities in the public sector.

“We are extremely pleased to have Leigh-Anne Franklin lead our Power Up Your Business webinar on public procurement.

“With over a decade of experience in procurement, governance, and operations, Leigh-Anne holds a BA in Law, continues her professional development through CIPS and brings expertise in risk management, audit, and stakeholder engagement.

“For more than 130 years, the PDA has acted as a collective voice of the trade and formed key partnerships across the industry designed to support our members and offer them a range of products and services that benefit their businesses.

“I strongly urge members to take part in the webinar and lay the groundwork for future successes.”

All PDA members will be sent an e-invite to the event, which takes place online from 7pm on Thursday 15thJanuary. Members can also request a link from the Association’s Membership Services Manager Denice Harper by emailing: [email protected].
