Wallpaper murals and spraying techniques are the skills decorating professionals want to acquire – according to a survey by the Painting and Decorating Association (PDA).
The trade body issued a survey to its Members in a bid to identify training needs and find out which courses were likely to be most popular.
The results of the survey will be analysed in due course, but initial findings indicate smaller operatives would welcome a range of training courses delivered by the PDA, while larger contractors would access specific application techniques.
PDA Chief Executive Neil Ogilvie said:
“We regularly conduct surveys among our Members as it helps us to identify issues such as training needs and consider how we can either provide training courses to meet those needs, or signpost our Members to suitable training providers.
“We welcome the initial findings of the survey, which indicate an appetite across the sector for improving the range of products and services they offer.”
